Mission

Karan Kamuna, India

We are financing a Preschool project in Mumbai, India.
There are about 20 million people in Mumbai. A significant proportion of the population has no access to education.
Several years ago, Karan and Kavita Kamuna began teaching preschool children in a downtown slum to give them access to elementary schools. What began a few years ago with about 30 children has since grown into a preschool with 85 children between the age of 3 and 6, who are taught in three classes.
With our support, the premises are rented, the children's clothing is financed, the teachers are paid with a small salary and all the materials needed are purchased.
In addition, Karan Kamuna looks after the families of the children in the slums, whom he visits, teaches them basics of hygiene, listens to them and also talks about the Christian faith.

Damaris and Torben Friese, Argentinia

We support the missionary project of the missionary and pastor Torben and his wife Damaris Friese in Argentina under the Guarani Indians tribe.

At the time of the conquest, several million Guarani lived in the middle of South America. Diseases introduced by Europeans, slavery, land grabbing and extermination wars decimated their numbers to a few hundred thousand. Today you can find Guarani in Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil and Bolivia. The Guarani exist on the margins of society; at the edge of the country roads, withdrawn in the forest or partly in slums of the cities. As hunter-gatherers they can not survive anymore. Their animistic world view captures them in their traditional way of thinking and living.

Damaris Friese is a qualified nurse and has a theological education. Torben Friese is a educated electrician, studied social worker, pastor and missionary. They have four children.

They work together with the Mision Guarani and the community of Peniel in Jarin América among the native people of Argentinia. Their goal is to live in the city of Jardin America among the Guarani Indians, to build communities there and to offer help for self-help to improve the living conditions of the local Guarani.
